Bio

     The Andrew Jalbert Trio, based out of Massachusetts, is an Organ Trio in the Funk tradition, that gives homage, and adds a personal modern touch to the songs of The Meters, Jimmy Smith, Grant Green, and other legendary songwriters. Led by Guitarist Andrew Jalbert, New England native and 10 year veteran of the Austin Texas music scene, Andrew adds his unique blend of Funk/Jazz improvisation with a frequent country tinge, and also curates the setlist with reverence for the history of the music and the artists who create it. Organist Darby Wolf adds his deep grooves and flaming chops to the mix, all on top of Drummer Tim Hetu’s beats with a Jazz taste and a Rock and Roll energy.
